What do you want to be when you grow up?

It’s a question that lingers in every student’s heart—full of hope, yet sometimes filled with uncertainty.

Yesterday (18 June 2025), we had the joy and honour of engaging with over 200 Form 5 students at SMJK Shing Chung, Sg Siput, Perak. And what a vibrant, high-potential bunch they were!

Dr. Low Suet Fin, our passionate Senior Lecturer in Education, led a fun, interactive, and eye-opening Career Talk—helping students uncover the possibilities that lie ahead. From spotlighting in-demand careers of 2025 to guiding them through a Personal Development Plan, our session gave them space to reflect deeply on who they are, what they want to be, and how they can get there.

Students mapped out their career dreams—listing the skills they’ll need, support systems they can rely on, possible obstacles, and action plans to overcome them. Many even bravely shared their plans in front of their peers—a beautiful moment of courage, clarity, and community.

We were also excited to introduce Perdana University and how our industry-relevant programmes and scholarships can support their unique journeys—whether in Business, IT, Medicine, Education, Health Sciences or Psychology.

If you’re a school looking to provide your students with a similar inspiring session, we’d love to come by. Because at Perdana University, we believe every student deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in choosing a future that truly lights them up.
