On 7th December 2024, Perdana University held its 7th Convocation Ceremony at the
DoubleTree By Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, celebrating the academic achievements of over 158
graduates across various disciplines. This momentous event marks not just a culmination of hard
work but also the end of a significant partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
(PU-RCSI) and the National University of Ireland.
Among the graduates, several outstanding individuals were recognised for their exceptional
accomplishments. Judianna Shalini, a graduate in Occupational Therapy, received the prestigious
Chancellor’s Award and is now practicing private organisation. The Vice-Chancellor’s Award
was awarded to two remarkable graduates: Hiew Wan Qi, also in Occupational Therapy,
currently at private medical institution, and Darchayani Ganesan, a remarkable Houseman at
government hospital. Darchayani notably graduated with First Class Honours in Medicine,
earning an impressive eight accolades during her studies, highlighting her remarkable dedication
and academic prowess.
The ceremony featured inspiring keynote addresses that resonated deeply with the graduates. Tan
Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Suleiman bin Mohamed, Chancellor of Perdana University, encouraged the
graduates to take pride in their accomplishments and uphold the values of integrity, resilience,
compassion, and excellence as they navigate their future paths. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Imran Ho Abdullah reflected on the journey of hard work and personal sacrifice
that led to this moment, reminding graduates that this occasion is both a celebration and a new
beginning.
As Perdana University celebrates this significant milestone, it reaffirms its dedication to
nurturing talent and fostering innovation, paving the way for future leaders who will contribute
positively to society.
