Lemang, Ketupat and Rendang… Perdana University Raya Gathering & Cultural Event

Perdana University’s student lounge came alive with the festive sights, music, and smells of Hari Raya Aidilfitri as our staff and students gathered for a lively potluck celebration—filled with traditional Malay dishes, vibrant outfits, and warm camaraderie on 15 April 2025.

What made this celebration truly special was its fusion with a cultural showcase by both our local and international students from Bangladesh, China, and Djibouti. Guests were invited to sample delicious heritage foods like pantha illish, payes, xalwo fudud, and our own Malaysian favourites, including bahulu, dodol, and sagon.

The interactive presentation also featured cultural activities: from playing congkak, to enjoying a modern Djiboutian song, to admiring the beauty of a Chinese calligraphy brush. These shared experiences brought our local and international students closer together, highlighting one of Perdana University’s core values—fostering meaningful cross-cultural understanding.

This celebration was more than just a festive gathering. It was a reflection of our inclusive campus culture—where diversity is not just welcomed, but celebrated.

At Perdana University, we embrace Unity and Diversity—every day.

Come be part of our community where cultures meet and friendships grow.
