Programme Overview

The Master of Science in Health Analytics is a postgraduate programme aimed at individuals seeking advanced expertise in analysing and interpreting health data to improve healthcare outcomes. The programme provides in-depth knowledge of healthcare data management, statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data visualisation techniques. Students learn to apply these analytical tools to large-scale health data, addressing key challenges such as enhancing patient care, optimising healthcare operations, and improving decision-making. Upon completion, graduates are equipped to take on roles such as health data analysts, healthcare consultants, or data-driven healthcare professionals, contributing to the advancement of healthcare delivery and policy.

Entry Requirements

i. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Health Sciences or Biomedical Sciences or related fields with Statistical background/ Computing background, with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate;

OR

ii. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Health Sciences or Biomedical Sciences or related fields with Statistical background/ Computing background with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.

iii. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the University and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).

English Language Requirements

Local Students MUET Band 4

International Students IELTS 6.0 (Equivalent to CEFR Mid B2)
