Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Counselling with Psychology programme integrates foundational psychology knowledge with specialised training in counselling techniques. This programme prepares students to become competent counsellors, equipped to address emotional, mental, and behavioural issues while grounding their practice in psychological principles.

Entry Requirements

i. Matriculation / Foundation / A-level or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00
ii. STPM or its equivalent with a minimum of 2 full passes with GP 2.00
iii. A Diploma (Level 4) or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00
(All the above qualifications need to be supported with at least credits in Maths and Science, with a pass in English at SPM level)
iv. Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 5 subjects
v. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the HEP Senate/Authorities

English Language Requirements

For local students
Candidates should have MUET (Band 3) or equivalent

For international students
Candidates should have IELTS (Band 5.5) / TOEFL (550) paper-based or equivalent
