PU Research Day 2016

Located in Block B, Perdana University has successfully organised the PU Research Day 2016 on 14th of October 2016. All schools, centres and departments were invited to take part in this programme, where it aims to showcase student’s research as well as to update faculty & students on the research opportunities and available resources. The winners of poster competition were carefully deliberated and selected. The winner of the poster competition was won by Ong Jea Shen, James William Foong, Oo Wei Loon, Nirmala Baskaran, Hasdy bin Haron, Yuzana Mohammad Yusop and Lela Yasmin Mansor for their poster entitled, ‘Knowledge and attitudes of critical care professionals towards brain death, cadaveric organ donation, and transplantation’. Second place was earned by Koh Ling Li, S O’Rourke, Marion Brennan, Lisa Clooney, David LeBlanc, Naomi McCallion and Richard J. Drew for ‘Impact of the GeneXpert BC assay for positive blood cultures from patients in a neonatal intensive care unit: A quality improvement project’ while the third place was acquired by Lim Yan, Low Weng Hei, Azell Mae Gregory, May Lean, Mikella Monique Theseira, Takaaki Yahiro, Sharnali Ahmed and Kamruddin Ahmed for ‘Dominance of a specific rotavirus genotype in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah’. Congratulations to all winners!
