Perdana University saw its first batch of Graduates at the University’s inaugural Convocation Ceremony on 25th September 2016 held at the IOI Marriott Hotel, Putrajaya.
The Degrees conferred were the Doctor of Medicine(MD) of the Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine (PUGSOM); the Bachelor of Medicine(MB), Bachelor of Surgery(BCh) and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics(BAO) of the National University of Ireland (NUI) and the parallel LRCPI and LRCSI Licentiates of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI); the Postgraduate Diploma in Bioinformatics of the School of Data Sciences; the Masters of International Trade offered through the School of Post Graduate Studies; and the Certificate of Foundation in Science of the School of Foundation Studies.
A total of 100 graduates took the stage proudly, as they received their respective scrolls; the MD Degree conferred 21 graduates; the MB BCh & BAO conferred 59 graduates; the Postgraduate Diploma in Bioinformatics conferred 1 graduate; the Master of International Trade conferred 3 graduates; and the Certificate of Foundation in Science conferred 16 recipients.
All the Awards were presented by the University’s Pro-Chancellor, YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr Mohan Swami.
Among the many Awards presented, the Chancellor’s Award recipient, Kohgulakuhan Yogalingam and the Vice Chancellor’s Award recipient, Lee Yih Hoong took the centre stage.
The ceremony ended on a very positive atmosphere as the graduands have now elevated their academic standings and are ready to face the challenges ahead of them.
