Perdana University, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and the American University of Sovereign Nations (AUSN) held a joint workshop at Perdana University from 9th to 11th November 2016 to provide a platform to exchange knowledge and recent discoveries in the teaching, manuscript and thesis writing in the field of medical and healthcare ethics.
Facilitators and speakers at the workshop include experts and practitioners in bioethics, medical and healthcare ethics from Universiti Malaya, Perdana University, USM, American University of Sovereign Nations (USA/Japan), Universitas Jendral Soedirman (Indonesia) and Maritime Academy Asia & Pacific, (The Philippines). They also include members of the Consortium of Ethics and Medical Humanities Network.
Participants from all over South East Asia that gathered at Perdana University during the 3-day workshop had the opportunity to be trained on healthcare ethics, develop local case study series for ethics teaching in Clinical and Public Healthcare, Science and Technology, and also appreciate methods of bioethics research design and publication, are able to complete a publication-ready manuscript and are ready to write and assess graduate thesis in bioethics.
